The Machine Guarding Safety Program provides a structured framework for identifying and controlling hazards created by moving machinery and mechanical power-transmission equipment. It establishes responsibilities for management, supervisors, machine operators, maintenance personnel, and other affected employees and addresses hazard evaluation, safeguarding selection, pre-use inspections, safe operation, maintenance, and removal of unsafe machinery from service.
