Safety and Health Policy
It is this company’s policy to provide a safe workplace for our employees and to observe all State and Federal Laws and Regulations.
We have and will continue to maintain a Safety and Health Program designed to train our employees to follow safe practices, and to recognize and correct unsafe working conditions.
Safety is a part of each employee’s job. Active participation and adherence to the Safety Program is a condition of each employee’s employment. No employee is required to work at a job that he or she knows is not safe. Therefore, we must work to make every workplace safe by detecting and correcting unsafe working conditions, as well as the detection of unsafe work practices.
Our Safety Policy has equal importance with the company’s policies of providing the best quality and most productive service in our industry.
It is our goal to completely eliminate accidents and injuries. Because of the many different hazards of our industry, we must maintain a constant safety awareness to achieve this goal.
Responsibilities
- The safety manual administrator, ______________ is responsible for implementing the policies and procedures of this program. This includes reviews and updates, including employee input to effectively maintain this safety program.
- Management / Supervisors
- All managers and supervisors are responsible for implementing and maintaining the safety program in their work areas and for addressing worker questions regarding this program.
- Supervisors / Leadership
- Supervisors set an example for employees to follow by incorporating safe work practices in all aspects of their activities and following all company safety policies and procedures
- Employees / Contractors
- Each employee has personal responsibility and accountability for safety on the job.
Compliance
- Leadership shall ensure all safety policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood by employees and contractors. All employees will comply with safe and healthy work practices by incentives, training, re-training programs and disciplinary programs.
Communication with Employees
- Our company recognizes that open, two-way communication between management and staff on health and safety issues is essential to an injury-free, productive workplace.
- Employees shall have unobstructed access to the written safety manual through one of the following methods:

Sexual Harassment
- Our company does not tolerate harassment of our job applicants, employees, clients, guests, vendors, customers or other persons doing business with Any form of harassment related to an employee’s race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, citizenship status, veteran status or handicap is a violation of this policy and will be treated as a disciplinary matter.
- Any reported incident will be Complaints and actions taken to resolve complaints will be handled as confidentially as possible, given our obligation to investigate and act upon reports of such harassment.
Disciplinary Policy
- This policy is intended to provide rules and guidelines for administering disciplinary action to employees, who violate safety rules and procedures or who, by their record or actions, indicate a disregard for safety.

Hazard Identification and Assessment
- A hazard is anything with the potential to harm life, health or property. Periodic inspections to identify and evaluate workplace hazards shall be performed.

- New or previously unidentified hazards
- Job scope change
Hazard Correction
- Unsafe or unhealthy work circumstances, practices or procedures shall be corrected in a timely manner based on the severity of the hazards.
Emergency Action Plan

First Aid
- Each employee will receive training and instructions from his or her supervisor regarding our first-aid procedures.
- First aid supplies shall be easily accessible when required. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using the materials in the first aid kit.
- In all cases requiring emergency medical treatment, immediately call or have a co-worker call to request emergency medical assistance. Use required bloodborne pathogen procedures.

- Heat Exhaustion
Training
- Workplace safety and health orientation begins on the first day of employment or position change. Every employee has access to a copy of this safety manual for review and future reference, and each employee will be given a personal copy of the safety rules, policies and procedures pertaining to his or her job.
- All employees will be retrained periodically on safety rules, policies and procedures, and when changes are made to the workplace safety manual.
Recordkeeping
- The safety coordinator will control and maintain all employee accident and injury records. Records are maintained for a minimum of five (5) years.
