Avetta Safety Program and Documentation Requirements

Avetta contractor requirements are not necessarily the same for every company. Requirements may vary based on the hiring client, services performed, locations, risk profile, and other factors.

Avetta’s current prequalification process allows contractors and suppliers to submit questionnaires and supporting documentation, while its audit and assessment services review health and safety programs and other documentation against regulatory requirements and client standards.

This means your company should prepare documentation based on the requirements actually assigned to your organization, rather than purchasing a generic package of programs that may not apply to your work.

Already Have a Safety Manual?

You may not need to replace it.

If you already have a company safety manual or individual written programs, we can review your existing documentation and concentrate on the programs that are missing, incomplete, or need to be revised for your Avetta requirements.

Were Your Safety Programs Returned or Found Deficient?

Send us the applicable audit question, deficiency, reviewer comment, or other information you received, along with the program you submitted.

A deficiency does not necessarily mean the entire safety program needs to be replaced. An existing program can often be revised to address a missing policy, procedure, responsibility, training requirement, documentation provision, or other identified requirement.

Avetta®, PICS Auditing® and BROWZ®

Some contractors may still encounter the names PICS Auditing or BROWZ in older customer documentation or qualification records.

Avetta was formerly known as PICS Auditing, and older client materials may still use that name. If you have older safety programs or qualification documentation from a predecessor system, we can review those documents along with your current Avetta requirements.

Customized Avetta Safety Programs

The safety programs we prepare are customized around your company’s operations, employees, equipment, work activities, hazards, and applicable requirements.

If your company already has procedures or policies that should remain in place, we can incorporate appropriate existing information rather than unnecessarily replacing it.

The goal is not simply to produce documents for upload. Your written programs should also reflect the safety practices your company is expected to implement.
